Rebrand and Website Refresh for Style Sisters Hair & Makeup

I created the original brand a few years ago but Amy & Jessica wanted to evolve like they have in their business to a more aesthetic and grown up look. Something timeless and simple that would appeal to the modern luxury Bride. To view the girls beautiful work click here.

The Brief

  • Show that we are honest and reliable

  • Attract Brides who want to look and feel like themselves.

  • Natural, Soft, Elegant.

Final Design

The Issues

  • Current logo style no longer suits their offering.

  • Colours no longer suit the aesthetic they want to go with.

  • The logo doesn’t feel minimal enough.

Before

The Mood Board

Jessica & Amy created this mood board for me on Canva.

The Idea

The idea I presented was the final idea. It was based upon a more simplified look and a monogram. The SS created the look of beautiful wavy hair - perfect for the Hair part of the team. To add in the makeup I used an oval to represent the mirror for doing your makeup.

I then used this branding to create the girls new website. You can view that here.

Things on the Style Sisters website that just make sense.

  • Two top images. As a team I wanted to make sure both aspects of the team were celebrated at the top of the page. Also photographers take less portrait photos now so this really helps with flexibility when changing the photographs.

  • Target your Audience. The typing text feature on the home page really speaks to the target market and brings their attention to it.

  • I’ve mixed it up. I have chosen photographs with a range of ethnicities, same sex couples. I have shown brown hair, blonde hair etc. Make sure everyone is represented that you can authentically.

  • Blogs. Create articles that are helpful. 5 ways to… / Something you don’t want to forget…

  • Accordions. Adding opening accordions with extra information keeps the page digestible but gives more information if the client wants it.
